Linux Engineer

About

We are looking for a Medior/Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer for a long-term project supporting a large-scale enterprise IT environment. You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and automation across the platform. The role focuses on managing Linux systems (primarily Ubuntu, Debian), supporting virtualized environments, and driving infrastructure automation using modern tools and practices. You will be involved in day-to-day operations, incident resolution, system optimization, and implementation of infrastructure changes within a structured enterprise environment.

 

Tech stack

  • Linux OS (Ubuntu, Debian, etc.)
  • Ansible automation
  • VMware operations
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) / automation
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Scripting (Bash/Python)
  • Exposure to monitoring/logging tools

 

Your responsibilities

  • operate and maintain Linux-based infrastructure (Ubuntu/Debian), ensuring high availability, stability, and performance across a large-scale enterprise environment
  • drive infrastructure automation using Ansible and IaC practices to standardize configuration management, deployments, and system provisioning
  • support and administer VMware virtualized environments, including resource management, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization
  • manage containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes) and contribute to monitoring and improvement of the broader infrastructure platform
  • own incident resolution end-to-end — diagnosing issues, implementing fixes, documenting root causes, and proactively driving preventive improvements
